There is something special about photography that lets you present to people things that the eye does not normally see. Long exposures are one of those magical techniques. This is a simple enough scene, but with the misty, featureless water and the movement of the clouds in the sky it becomes a scene from a dream.

pinhole polaroid 55
Pinhole shots so often leave something to be desired. But this is not one of those pinhole shots. This is a refreshing and atypical perspective of the California seaside, a very beautiful place to be sure. The sharpness of the pinhole, the long exposure, and the vignetting come together wonderfully for a very appealing image.
Fields of corn
The dramatic sky immediately grabs your attention. The tracks in the field leave me wondering where they come from and where the lead to. There is a certain emptiness to this very carefully composed, very well done image.
